Boring

I'm concerned I may be boring. The signs are all there--I dislike all team sports, I enjoy grammar, I only watch movies for which I've seen previews, I couldn't even come up with a clever title for this post.

Do boring people realize they're boring? Do they themselves experience boredom? Do they endeavor to be more interesting and simply fail? What if I've been boring my whole life an never realized it? Or worse, what if I've recently BECOME boring! What if the reason that I've been unable to write a decent blog post for months is that my interestingness is shriveling up like an old...nothing. I've got nothing. No good analogy. This is troubling.

If I had a dime for every time I thought, "Gosh I wish I could _____ like the Analyst" or "Man, that Analyst, I wish I were more like her" we'd be set for pedicures for a year. You are not boring. You are not a boor, either. It's just that you are not OVERCOMMITTED right now. (Slap me some skin, Chuckles.)

1. You are ANYTHING but boring! In fact, "Thirteen Ways of Looking at Homeownership" is probably the least boring thing that has happened to me this week.

2. Extremely good books I've ready lately:
a. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (by Mark Haddon)
b. How to Be Good (by Nick Hornby)
c. Life of Pi (by Yann Martel)
